Ukrainian War was Two Men Con All Along
Putin Lacks Guts to Attack Ukraine Without Western (Secret) Nod
Yeah, indeed, Putin, contrary to his Western image, is a spineless, gutless coward who can attack ONLY the weakest opponents like gays or Russian liberal opposition both of whom can't really hit him back. So do you really believe that SUCH A COWARD as Putin would WILLINGLY go against the whole West, if not against the whole world? If yes, I'd advise you to visit your doctor to do a brain check-up, seriously.
Ofc, you might claim that Putin considered Ukraine too to be a 'weak opponent' who would fall in few days, and that he also didn't expect such overwhelming united Western support of Ukraine. In this case, his Ukrainian invasion doesn't contradict his cowardice nature - he just very badly miscounted. This argument is somewhat more solid and requires more detailed debunking as well.
First of all, Putin has Russian Intelligence (FSS) at his disposal. Hence, I hardly believe that this Intelligence hadn't warned him of say the real level of preparedness of Ukrainian army with all Western weapons (which Ukraine had even BEFORE the invasion as well!) So, if, despite his Intelligence reports, Putin still believed he would be able to 'take Kiev in three days', he must have been an idiot. But Putin is anyone but an idiot.
Now, you might counterclaim it by saying that no one, including Intelligence chiefs, is telling Putin the truth - every his subordinate is so scared of him, and blah blah blah. Hence, they didn't warn him of the real state of affairs in Ukraine in fear of possible persecution. Fair enough, dictators like Putin MIGHT instill such a fear in their subordinates so they would start hiding certain bitter truths from them. However, do you REALLY believe that in such a SERIOUS AFFAIR as military invasion which has a potential to harm them more than Putin even, his subordinates would also lie? And if yes, if you believe so, then tell me HOW COME Putin is STILL not defeated in this war for over a year if everyone around him, including his generals and his Intelligence, is LYING TO HIM? If that was the case indeed, then it's not Ukraine but Putin who should have lost in few days, heh.
Hence, we must admit that Russian Intelligence did NOT lie to Putin, not in major aspects at least. It's equally impossible that Russian Intelligence didn't know the levels of preparedness of Ukrainian army. So, Putin must have known beforehand that he's attacking not 'an easy prey'. And yet, coward as he is, he still attacked. WHY?
You might say that Putin hoped for 'overwhelming support among Ukrainian population'. That is, that Ukrainians, 'oppressed by their Nazi government', would welcome Putin as a liberator. Again, that might have made sense for Eastern Ukraine but certainly not for Western one and not even for Kiev, and Russian Intelligence must have warned Putin of the real attitudes among Ukrainian population as well. Yet Putin initially invaded as far as to Kiev, not just into Eastern Ukraine. WHY?
Now, you might argue that Putin didn't expect such overwhelming Western support for Ukraine and such tough sanctions. Now, REALLY? Biden admin had spent last two months before the invasion warning Putin of 'serious consequences' of it, and Putin just ignored it all? Also, the West had began to implement sanctions against Russia because of Ukraine already nine years ago, same as sending weapons to Ukraine, even if back in 2014 Putin didn't openly invade anyone. STILL, the West had demonstrated overwhelming support for Ukraine. Hence, it was only natural to expect even MORE 'Ukrainian support' in case of the real invasion.
Again, Putin isn't an idiot. He SHOULD HAVE expected a HUGE backlash from the West in case of his invasion into Ukraine, and yet he still invaded. Again, it is OUT OF HIS CHARACTER. Cowards like Putin don't do that. They don't challenge a STRONGER opponent (like NATO), and even less so they go against the whole world. Stalin might have done it, he had guts for it at least. NOT PUTIN.
Putin might have attacked Ukraine ONLY if he KNEW - or was promised so - that he COULD GET AWAY WITH IT. If he started an open confrontation with the West FOR REAL, NO ONE would have given him such guarantees. ONLY if the West itself ASKED Putin to attack Ukraine, promising that nothing really would be done against him, such coward as Putin MIGHT have dared to attack! Which makes Western confrontation with Putin yet one more scam.
But if the West wanted this war so badly, why didn't it attack first, or made Ukraine attack, at least Crimea? Simple. The West did not want to attack first so it would not have been condemned as an INVADER by the world. The West always should be a 'good guy', 'protecting democracy' and all that, remember? Keeping appearances is everything for the Woke virtue-signaling West. Hence, the West needed Putin to invade. And Putin, traitor as he is, had obliged the West. Simple as that.
Why is there no mention of NATO?
No mention of Nazi militia being involved in military actions against the citizens of Donbas?
No mention of the loans which will be lost if Ukraine loses the war?
No mention of various world leaders encouraging The comic actor Zelenskyy not to enter peace talks?
The Ukraine story is more complicated than just one man
"Again, Putin isn't an idiot. He SHOULD HAVE expected a HUGE backlash from the West in case of his invasion into Ukraine, and yet he still invaded. Again, it is OUT OF HIS CHARACTER. Cowards like Putin don't do this"
"Out of his character"?
He already invaded Georgia, Transnistria, Crimea, Donbass, ...
What else does he need to do to prove his character?
Do we have to talk about for example poisoning candidates in other countries elections that are against him? That happened.
Do we need to talk about killing journalists?
That happened too, several times (Navalny wasn't the first).
You know fugg all about what you are talking about.
In fact I am quite sure in 2017 when Trump sent 700 million dollars to Ukraine (you probably didn't even know that but I will give you the benefit of the doubt), you clapped and oh was so happy that "Trump is standing for democracy".
But now? Nah.
Let me guess: pulling out of Afghanistan to end an ethereal war is bad.
Giving support for Ukraine now? Ah, now it's bad!
Intelectual midget.
