The Rise of Russophobic Racism in Europe because of Ukraine

'Support Ukraine' Quickly Turned to 'Hate Russia and Russians' in Europe

In my last article here - I had talked in details on what’s wrong with official Western narrative on Ukraine and why smart people can’t really buy it anymore at this point. However, there are more sinister aspects to that and more personal to me which deserve to be discussed in a separate article and which might have been unknown to Americans (and hence especially informative for them!) because they affect mostly Europe. Namely, it’s an alarming rise of Russophobic racist discrimination in Europe since 2022 similar to equally unfair discrimination of the unvaccinated in the whole West in 2021.

This discrimination started when they changed the target of the Western sanctions, which initially were directed at Putin and Russian government, but later were turned against Russian people, and majority of gullible dummies failed to spot this inconsistency, again. Initially, the West directed its sanctions at Putin, his government and military industry which kinda makes sense if you want government in question to stop waging war. Again, we might question the Western right to dictate other governments what to do but from the ‘end the war’ point of view, it made sense.

However, very quickly – again, already in March of 2022! – they began to target innocent Russian civilians with their sanctions, which already did not make any sense, yet majority of Western gullible dummies failed to spot this alarmig change and kept cheering for more. Again, many Russian civilians do not support Putin. Even if they do, they still have nothing to do with Putin’s actions, and taking into account that Russia isn’t really a democracy and you could be literally jailed in Russia for criticizing Putin’s war, they had zero chance of affecting Putin’s decisions. Then what was the point of sanctioning Russian civilians?

Examples of it? Countless. First it was blocking of Russian banks cards. Then, freezing and subsequent confiscation of Russian actives and properties abroad. Then, visa bans for Russians in Europe, based purely on their nationality (which is classic racist discrimination by the way, speaking of racism). Then, bans on Russian planes and trains in the West. Then, banning Russian athletes and singers from international competitions. Kicking Russia out of Eurovision (although art is not political and music should unite, not divide people, as Eurovision organizers always claimed). Then, Western companies leaving Russian market en masse in unprecedented ‘Cancel Russia!’ campaign, which had next to zero impact on Putin but hurt regular Russian people again.

So, countless malevolent actions were taken against innocent Russian people who had nothing to do with Russian government and Putin’s war. It was harder and harder to see it as ‘support of Ukraine’ and ‘condemnation of war’. It looked more and more like punishing innocent Russian people for the actions of their government, like a pure and ugly spite. Moreover, even uglier Russophobic racism came forth from deep underneath. Russians became the new unvaccinated in the West – another prosecuted and discriminated minority, and it was discriminated equally unfairly.

Perhaps this racist discrimination of Russians wasn’t as obvious in America but it was pretty obvious in Europe. I lived in Finland back then and faced it on my own skin. First, I was unable to transfer money from Russian bank account to Finnish one because of the sanctions. Then, I was unable to send postcards and parcels to my family in Russia because Finnish post refused to do it because of the sanctions. Eventually, they closed the border with Russia completely and I was unable to even visit my Russian family from Finland. Worst of all, when I was trying to raise these issues among my Finnish friends – very mildly, mind you! – like ‘why should I be punished for Putin’s actions when I never supported him to begin with?’, I didn’t get any sympathy from here. The mildest response I got was something like – ‘Russians should shut up on the ‘minor inconveniences’ they face when ‘poor Ukrainians are being slaughtered en masse by Russian government’. That was again one of the mildest responses. Others were muchworse. And that was coming from those whom I thought friends, not from strangers. Eventually, I left Finland, and don’t regret it for a second.

It was my personal experience, but other Russians in Finland experienced even worse kind of discrimination and truly barbarian hostility which you would consider incompatible with 21st century ‘civilized’ European society, but here you go. For example, the doors of apartments were Russians lived are painted with cursing words in Finland same as cars with Russian numbers. Even worse, there were official reports that Russian kids in Finnish schools were bullied by their classmates and forced to apologize by teachers in a truly Woke style for the ‘actions of their government’ in Ukraine. Again, when you shame not just innocent adult civilians but kids for what Putin whom they had never even seen done, it’s a rock bottom of human depravity. Finland fell to truly fascist levels of atrocities.

Not only FinlandAnd it's not just Finland. Ugly Russophobic racism rises all over Europe because of Ukraine and hurts innocent Russian-speaking children. It's truly monstrous when kids are suffering from ugly racist discrimination and no one cares because apparently to protect the basic rights of Russian-speaking people in Europe including children is ‘Putin's support’. Upon a closer inspection, there was nothing strange in the rise of this ugly Russophobic sentiment in Europe. It was dormant here all the way since WWII and Cold War days, and was rekindled now by the flames of Ukrainian war. Also, many people who actually enjoy being assholes to their fellows, now got an official excuse to be mean to Russians and get away with it. All the ugliness of human nature came forth, just like with COVID and unvaccinated, again. COVID instantly reminded me of WEF assholes - since WEF globalists goal was always to ‘divide and rule’, it was easy to see their invisible hand behind this shit too.

The WEF love to turn us against each other and to stigmatize certain groups, after all. They want to divide us with their agenda and also to kill our empathy to these groups so later we’d have no empathy to any of the groups prosecuted by the regime.

First, they stigmatized Trump supporters and Brexit voters. Then, they stigmatized the unvaccinated. Now, they stigmatize Russians. Who’s next? Again, diabolic.
