Asymmetrical Rhetoric and One-Sided Emotional Exaggerations are Toxic
I’d keep exposing lies and propaganda of our legacy media. What upsets me the most is that almost any political issue is being blown out of proportion currently, and most people accept it without even questioning, and without even pausing to think.
Virus with mortality rate of less than 1%? Let's all lock ourselves down in the basement, and give up all our lives, rights and freedoms for indefinite term. It's like shooting a sparrow with a cannon but who cares?
Few Black guys got brutally murdered by police in US? (note that in majority of the cases police are still doing their job properly, and in some cases white guys were brutally murdered by police officers as well, only no one gave a damn because white guy being brutally killed by police is not a 'trendy' political issue). Then all America (and all Western civilization by extension) is 'systemically racist', all white people are 'complicit' in racism by default (even if they didn't harm any single PoC in their lives!) and should kneel and 'renounce their privilege, and if you disagree with that, then you're racist too (even if you're Black!) And because everybody is racist, let's defund the police, and burn and loot with impunity.
Trump? Literally Hitler! Capitol Hill protest, a desperate patriotic action during which no single Congress man or woman was harmed but four Trump supporters shot dead? 'Terrible assault on our democracy', 'coup', ‘insurrection’ and worst thing ever happened to America! (even worse than 9/11 as the most idiotic Woketards declared)
Israel tries to defend its land against violent terrorists from Hamas and Hezbollah? Israel is 'perpetuating apartheid and genocide of poor innocent harmless Palestinians’!
A child author voices out reserved concerns against radical trans activism? She's an 'evil transphobic bigot', female version of Hitler, let's burn all Harry Potter books!
Now in Finland as well. Tampere was ranked a city with the cleanest air in the world? Let's implement 'climate emergency' in Finland! Why? Because logic is dead and gone, and only blown out of proportion Wokeness is left.
This shit needs to be stopped. Woke people should be held responsible for blowing things out of proportion and called out for their toxic exaggerations and downright slander, not celebrated! And majority of people should stop being so naive and gullible for fuck sake, stop believing every single word they hear on mainstream media and social media, and stop jumping on any 'trendy' political bandwagon without researching what this movement is actually about!
Mostly spot on, but with the caveat that the media also minimize the actual important issues or claim that they don’t exist.
Usually in this order:
1. “That’s not happening, it’s a far right conspiracy theory.”
2. “Ok, yes it’s happening. But to such a small extent that it doesn’t matter.”
3. “Ok, yes it’s happening a lot. But, it’s actually a good thing.”
4. At this point they’re usually out of excuses and are unable to logically defend their insane positions and resort to fallacies: appeals to emotion: “but the children?!”
Appeals to authority: “but Fauci said!”
Ad hominem: “racist!”
And red herrings. Like trying to get you to argue about definitions while ignoring the real issue. Such as trying to get you to argue over the definition of “woke.”
Don't forget DEI and "diversity hires" The current WH spokeswoman (the first black lesbian in that position Hallelujah praise the Lord Allahu Akbar)
Soon 50% of pilots will have to be black and 20% of brain surgeons Asian - or whatever the right percentage is. Insanity!
