Great article! Don’t forget the OG of cable news, Ted Turner.

Thanks! Well everything which could be described as media fits here.

I’m a former news reporter with a J degree and I fully approve this article.

Oh thanks, that was pretty nice to hear especially if some Woketards used to accuse me of 'not knowing what I'm talking about' since I'm 'not a journalist'.

In which news agency did you work and which pernicious trends have you noticed there?

Los Angeles Daily News, plus a local newspaper and national trade association as editor of all publications. I covered the Rodney King trial riots and the Northridge Earthquake. I also later worked 7 years on the staffs of two elected officials, in a capacity that included keeping local media honest. Most local reporters did not like dealing with me because I could spot and call out their bullshit.

Basically what you wrote is spot-on true. The biggest threat to democracy is the corporatists, who either purchase media companies outright, or purchase such mass volumes of advertisements from publications and networks that they can write terms of news content right into advertising contracts.

We do *not* have a free press. True journalism and objectivity have been discarded in favor of “advocacy journalism” focused on making mega-rich corporations even richer.

It’s scary, actually. Thanks for writing it all out, this message needs to be repeated ad nauseum through Nov. 5.

Oh, actually respect to you for trying to keep local media honest. I guess it's futile to go against the corrupt system but still worth trying though, so respects again!

Yeah, as I was telling Woketards, one doesn't have to be a journalist to spot propaganda. But was still great to find an empirical evidence which proved my logical conclusions, like corporatists writing terms of news content right into advertising contract - well said too. Don't mind me restacking this or previous your comment?

And yeah I wanted to write of media propaganda techniques for long and now it's time I guess before the eldction, before they started staging another 'summer of love' and covering it dishonestly.

Yes, feel free to use anything in my response. Editors and broadcast program managers have emailed responses saying as such. Ask RFK Jr.; he talks about these responses sometimes. These editors and managers admit that, yes we agree that’s a story; but we are forbidden to report it.

That is the crux of this entirely scary situation. These mega corporations need to be brought to heel. Or democracy itself begins to crumble.

Thanks for your permission! Yeah totally agree with you, it's scary and needs to be addressed.

Does RFK respond to requests from us common people actually?

You might be surprised if you email the campaign for comment. It’s a really big deal and RFK knows it. It’s just too complex to spoon-feed to a mass audience with attention span woes; so he doesn’t spend a lot of time on the subject. Because there are only 24 hours in a day, and RFK needs 3 hrs./day to inform voters properly before Nov. 5.

His campaign manager is a former CIA agent who is quite keen on communication channels, and the very real challenges with censorship. I’ll help you write the (brief) pitch, if you wish. DM me any time, I’m retired.

I’m reasonably certain their listening audience is composed of the ‘in crowd, and they go where the in crowd goes.’

And just can’t resist the ambience of it all, thinking themselves a part of the intellectual elite, along with all the charm of the empty suits.

Authentic communists refer to them affectionately as ‘useful idiots.’

While it is still called today, they should investigate what their prospects might amount to, according to a genuine ex-kgb agent, Yuri Bezmenov.

I’ve tried to persuade my immediate family to do just that.

Pride, I think, prevents them from it.

Yeah their arrogance and narcissism when they see themselves as a part of intellectual elite while in truth they're just useful idiots are pathetic.
