Many people were asking me how could I have so many political insights totally opposite to popular opinions and mainstream view, and, moreover, to so be often 100% CORRECT about it. Why am I so unaffected by media view and social reality around me. I think there are few main issues with me with this regard:
1) I Pay Attention to Things
I'm able to spot contradictions, double standard and one-sided approach pretty well, and I'm not swayed from it by media propaganda. If I smell shit, I know it's shit even if media and public are telling me it's a candy.
I realized most people don't have that hunch. If their media tell them everything is okay, and their friends are saying all is okay too, then they also believe all is okay, even if the sky is burning above them. Even if they noticed that something is fishy, they ignore it in favor of public opinion.
I NEVER ignore it. If I see that the king is naked, I won't ignore the evidence of my OWN eyes, even if all population and ‘experts’ would insist that king isn't actually naked, but fully dressed.
I Always Do My Research
I'm not lazy to do my research and to analyze things myself instead of just trusting popular opinions pushed by media as most people are doing. I'm not lazy to double-check everything, and to critically assess ANY INFORMATION which comes to me.
I believe in critical and independent thinking, especially in our age of information when there is so much propaganda everywhere.
3) I Don't Trust ‘Experts' and Authorities
Indeed I believe it's very naive to trust authorities and establishment by default, as many people are doing. I always allow that human nature is flawed and people might be corrupted (however 'impeccable reputations' they have), and more power they have, more corrupt they likely are.
Hence, if WHO or Dr Fauci says something, it's not an absolute truth for me as for many people. Everything needs to be critically assessed, and NO ONE is beyond reproach.
4) I Don't Give a Shit of Public Opinion
That means I don't give a shit about 'reputation', 'virtue signaling' and 'showing off'. I don' give a shit if people would think me 'racist', 'white supremacist', 'transphobic', or 'conspiracy theorist'. I don't give a shit if people would believe me either deluded or evil.
I know myself that I'm not, that I have informed opinions based on facts and analysis and research, unlike many people, and I don't give a shit what other people think as long as I can live my inner truth. I think many people lack this quality.
5) I Immediately Resist when ANY Narrative is Being Pushed Down on Me
I'm VERY CAUTIOUS when someone tries to tell me what to think, and to push certain narrative and certain interpretation of events down on me. Thanks, I'm capable of thinking for myself. Just show me facts and I will form my own opinion about them. I don't really need you to tell me your opinion, and to persuade me why I should think in the same way as you do.
6) I Never Follow Fashion and Popular Trends
I always detested fashion and blind following of social trends which got exacerbated by social media million fold. I don't understand how people can just blindly copy each other and jump on the bandwagon they have no slightest idea about.
I don't understand even the urge to BE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, to have EXACTLY SAME OPINIONS ON EVERYTHING AS OTHERS, and just to COPYPASTE EACH OTHER. What's fun is that when the world is populated by your clones? It's a nightmare, not paradise.
Embrace diversity, people - not Woke toxic diversity, but diversity and pluralism of opinions and worldviews. If you disagree, it doesn't mean one is right and other is wrong by default - it means that you just have DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES. I think so many people don't realize that. But they should though.
So, these are six tips from me how to stay awake in our propagandized Matrix of a world. Hope they could help someone to keep their sanity and critical thinking when everyone goes mad. Or maybe my smart and critical thinking subscribers were using exactly the sand tips themselves. Or maybe you used different ones? Go ahead and share them in the comments!
I too have one of those extremely sensitive bullshit detectors, a life long cynic, having been lied to on a regular basis within my previous professional life.
No amount of word salad air freshener gets through….the smell is distinctive!
Similar stuff but also:
- character and evidence over identity / name calling / branding in whatever they tell me.
- objectivity over emotion in my response to whatever I’m told
- that to believe is nowhere near enough. I to understand, or I do not. E.g. I don’t believe the jabs were safe and effective. I understand that they weren’t and so on
