Debunking Western Myths about Ukraine
Rabid warmongering and rampant Russophobia in disguise of 'support for Ukraine' are very dangerous
Since there is shitload of misconceptions about Russia-Ukraine in Western political space which leads to distortion of reality and rise of rampant Russophobia in the West, especially in European countries neighboring Russia (Finland, Baltic states, Poland, Czech Republic, etc.), I feel need to debunk the most popular Western myths about Ukraine and its war with Russia.
Again - I do NOT support Putin's invasion, and never will. But also I don't like to see how anti-war sentiment in the West turns into a rabid warmongering, and support for Ukraine - into pure and ugly Russophobic hatred. Hence, let's debunk some myths.
1) 'Ukraine is a free democracy fighting evil Russian tyranny'
Nothing could be further from truth than that. Ukraine is NOT a 'free democracy', never was and never will be. Ukraine bans all opposition parties, all independent media, and even BOTH gay marriage and Orthodox church at the SAME TIME (!!), and persecutes its Russian-speaking minority in addition. Yeah, also Ukraine is corrupt as fuck - one of the most corrupt countries in the world. Hence, a country like that couldn't be POSSIBLY called a 'liberal democracy'. It's as far from it as Pluto is from the Sun.
Hence, it would be more correct to define this war as 'one corrupt tyranny attacked another corrupt tyranny'. But then, all moral veneer would fade away from 'holy Ukraine', right?
2) 'Ukraine is the only country which stands between European democracies and evil Russian tyranny'
Ukrainian warmongers like to spread this lies to justify their perpetual war in Ukraine - that is, if 'Western people wouldn't keep 'supporting Ukraine', then Russia would engulf the West itself - or at least its European part'. Again, NOTHING could be further from truth than that. Russia would NEVER DARE to attack Europe because almost European country is NATO member at this point (hence, under official protection from US) and, moreover, biggest European powers like France have nuclear weapons. To attack further into Europe would be suicidal even for such a maniac as Putin.
Hence, Ukraine protects NOTHING FROM NO ONE. Only dirty liars can spread this type of propaganda, and only gullible idiots could really believe it.
3) 'US support Ukraine purely out of 'goodness of their heart' to 'protect Western democracy' and have no any their OWN interest in this war'
Right, it is just HAPPENED that US gain so much from this war. It is just HAPPENED that American economy got out of dire crisis of 2021-2022 and began to prosper again. It is just HAPPENED that American military industry particularly prospers as never before. It is just HAPPENED that American geopolitical influence in Europe and in the world increased tenfold since the beginning of this war. It is just HAPPENED that NATO particularly had gained more leverage and expanded further to East.
Even American officials like senator Richard Blumenthal can't help boasting 'how good Ukraine is for business' and 'how good investment Ukraine is'. But right, US support Ukraine 'purely out of goodness of their heart', purely to 'protect Western freedom and democracy from evil tyranny'. Be a good gullible dummy and keep believing this utter bullshit.
4) 'There are NO Nazis in Ukraine - it's just Putin's propaganda and his excuse to invade Ukraine'
Ukrainian Nazis might as well be just an excuse for Putin's invasion and not a real reason, but they themselves are real enough nevertheless, and not just a fruit of Putin's propaganda. I thought that Azov Battalion in particular had opened many Western eyes to the real extent of Nazi problem in Ukraine, same as countless Nazi symbols in Ukrainian military overall, absolutely dire fascist calls to 'kill all the Russians' coming from Ukrainian officials, and open Anti-Semitic views of those officials as well. So, sorry, but Ukrainian Nazi are pretty real and pretty nasty, and certainly not just creatures from Putin's imagination as you would like to believe.
5) 'Ukrainian war is a battle between good and evil'
I think after I had debunked all previous Western myths about Ukraine, the falsehood of this particular one becomes obvious?
Again, the point of this post is not to support Putin and his war. It is to show that not everything is as black and white in this war as Western media portray it to be, and and that this war is rather Game of Thrones with its endless fight for power than the Lord of the Rings with its Elven alliance against evil Sauron.
P.S. And yeah, as a true pacifist, I can''t really support rabid warmongering in disguise of 'support for Ukraine and democracy', and as a Russian, I can't really support no less rabid Russophobia in disguise of 'support for Ukraine' either.

BUWAHAHAHAHA.
More retarded bullshit of the know-it-all recycling tucker carlson BULLSHIT.
Tard: there are different orthodox churches and Ukraine forbade the one ran by Patriarch Kirill, that nice Christian who blesses missiles.
Ukraine didn't ban opposition parties. And it cancelled elections during a war just like the UK did during WW2.
As always, no nuance, no research, just recycling bullshit you found online or on fox news or other bullshit outlets you subscribe to.
"There are Nazis in Ukraine": mongoloid. The far right had less than 3% in the last election.
"Ukraine is corrupt": that's why they elected a complete outsider.
Society is sick and tired of this bullshit.
But you would never know that because you don't even know where Ukraine is on a map hahahahah
