Idleness is the root of all psychology.

- Nietzsche

When you don’t have real, consequential problems to solve, you invent problems to solve . The growth of Cultural Marxism is attributable to a number of factors : a successful society, the long march through the institutions by Marxists who set out to assume control of the levers of power via the universities, the media, the government bureaucracy. Indoctrinating college students for 50 years has paid off.

The self-loathing of the Left reflects their emotional instability, but also the Puritan strains of earlier American society. People like to feel morally superior. Guilt is a powerful emotion to motivate people. If you can properly tailor your message to your target audience, attach your political ideology to moral superiority and rectifying past crimes, you got yourself a winner. Never mind if it’s all BS. It makes people feel morally superior, which they love.
