Putin's Treason is the Real Reason for Wagner Coup
Putin's Alleged Strike Into Prigozhin's Rear is a Key to Understanding Wagner Coup
Today I commemorate the first anniversary of Wagner Coup in my homeland. What pains me is that many people both in Russia and in the West are still largely ignorant of the actual reasons behind it. I argue that Putin's Alleged Strike Into Prigozhin's Rear is a Key to Understanding Wagner Coup - I made this claim one year ago, straight after the failed coup. Now, one year later, Prigozhin mysterious death with traces of Putin's involvement discovered by WSJ special report, proves my point correct yet again.
I'm actually surprised at the fact HOW MANY people BOTH in Russia and in the West jumped at the theory that Wagner coup was just a 'fight for power between Putin and Prigozhin'. Like, very FEW people actually BELIEVED or even PAID ATTENTION to what Prigozhin said of Putin's alleged strike into his rear. While I believe this incident to be a CRUCIAL ONE in reading all this Wagner situation.
Because WHY such a weird accusation indeed, if it is NOT TRUE? Prigozhin just wanted to add a sheen of morality to his crusade for power? Because otherwise people wouldn't have supported his coup? That maybe but STILL, then he should HAVE SOME GROUNDS at least to believe that people would BUY HIS FALSE ALLEGATIONS! Now, why?
Contrary to what you may think, even Russians don't believe any made up shit. Hence, Putin's actions MUST HAVE BEEN AT LEAST SOMEWHAT SHADY for Prigozhin's allegations of Putin's treason to have at least some chances of being sold yo people! Why so many people ignore this crucial point? So, EVEN IF Prigozhin had lied, he MUST have had some grounds to believe that his lies would sell well enough, and, hence, that Putin is NOT ENTIRELY CLEAN on treason part. This is again crucial.
But I don't even believe that Prigozhin had actually lied. First of all, he looked genuinely shocked and pissed off to imitate it. Second, I still don't believe Prigozhin is an idiot, and to openly turn on Putin actually WAS an idiocy (his later murder proved it). He wouldn't have turned on Putin in his SANE MIND - hence, he must have been genuinely shocked and pissed to dare to do that.
Also, quest for power? Prigozhin knew he doesn't stand a chance against Putin. Also, he didn't actually gain MORE power after this attempted coup but lost his money, his reputation, and was exiled to Belarus to Lukashenko (and later murdered). Looks hardly a victory for him. Not entirely a loss either (since usually guys who attempt coup in Russia end up in Putin's dungeons), but not quite a win (a loss indeed as later events had proved).
What is my chief point? I don't see why Prigozhin would lie about such a serious issue as Putin's treason, and EVEN IF HE DID LIE, he MUST HAVE HAD grounds to believe that his lies would sell well. Hence, either way, it points out to Putin's dirty, treacherous game. And I fail to understand why SO MANY people entirely overlook that crucial moment instead focusing on imaginary 'power games' between Putin and Prigozhin.
I believe you have valid reasons but in truth, we are all in a deadly game... most just don't know it. Think not for a moment that we ALL aren't being tagged...
