I am sorry to say yesterday that Tucker Carlson did a good job of a journalist. After watching the interview I saw I was wrong. He actually didn't. A good job of a PROFESSIONAL journalist is also to ask politicians, ESPECIALLY such controversial ones as Putin, tough but relevant questions which they might NOT like to answer. Well, Tucker didn't ask almost ANY of those (save meekly bleating something about Russia becoming a Chinese puppet after the start of Ukrainian war which Putin carelessly dismissed as a 'boogieman'). Instead, Tucker gave Putin OVER TWO HOURS of virtually unchallenged propaganda time and retelling of Slavic history from Putin's viewpoint. Sorry, but it is NOT how professional journalism works. It's a farce. Still not enough to call Tucker a 'traitor' mind you like dumb MSM did but he certainly isn't a hero either, and not even a professional journalist upon a closer inspection.
1) Which tough questions Tucker should have asked Putin in my view? Well, for a starter, back in 2022 Putin claimed that the main reason to start this war for him was to guarantee the SAFETY of Russia, Crimea and Donbass. Well, it was logical for Tucker to ask had Russia indeed become SAFER after almost two years of this war. But alas Tucker didn't ask that. And why is it so?
Well, because, alas, Russia, Crimea and Donbass did NOT become safer after two years of the war. Quite the opposite. Before the war, Ukrainian army regularly bombed ONLY parts of Donbass which in turn was part of Ukrainian territory. Now, in addition to continuing on regular basis bombing of Donbass which now is part of Russia by the way (or at least Putin declared it to be), Ukraine also bombs border Russian regions like Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk, launches terror attacks on Russian civilian infrastructure in Crimea and even sends military drones AS FAR inside Russia as Moscow and Saint Petersburg. I'm sorry but is it how MUCH SAFER Russia had become now? I'd say quite the opposite.
Now, WHY didn't Tucker ask Putin that? I would have loved to hear Putin's answer to this crucial question. Ofc Putin wouldn't have told the truth still, but his answer would have been very illuminating regardless. Alas, Tucker didn't ask that.
2) There is another good question Tucker might have asked. Back in 2022 Putin also claimed that he was concerned of NATO expansion to Russian border via Ukraine, and hence attacked. Well, now EXACTLY AS A RESULT OF HIS ATTACK, NATO had indeed expanded to Russian border via Finland - add over ONE THOUSAND kilometres of border with NATO. What does Putin think of that? How did he prevent NATO expansion by his clown war? Why didn't Tucker ask that? I'm silent on the fact that Ukraine doesn't give up an idea to join NATO either and if anything, is much more integrated with NATO now than before. What does Putin think of that too? Why didn't you ask, Tucker?
3) Third crucial Putin's claim back in 2022 was about rampant Russophobia in Ukraine, and rise of neo Nazism there overall. So, it was logical of Tucker to ask how 'denazification' of Ukraine goes. But he didn't ask that too - and for obvious reason as well - it doesn't go well for Putin. If anything, there is MUCH STRONGER Russophobic sentiment in Ukraine now after Russian troops for two years bomb Ukraine and murder Ukrainian people, and much stronger ultra nationalist movement as well, as a direct response to Putin's invasion. So how exactly did Putin achieve his goal? Why didn't Tucker ask that?
Speaking of Russophobia, by the way, Russophobic sentiment (and not just against criminal Putin and his corrupt government, but against innocent Russian people as well) grew drastically not only in Ukraine but in the whole world (at least, in its Western part). There are now visa bans for Russians in the West, complications to to enroll at Western universities, to get jobs in the West, along with widespread discrimination on national basis. As much as I hate and condemn this Russophobic sentiment as a Russian, I have to admit that NO ONE but Putin contributed SO MUCH to this unprecedented rise of Russophobia. So how exactly did Putin protect Russian people from Russophobia both in Ukraine and in the world, when in truth he had done the exact opposite?
See my point? Upon a closer inspection, all Putin's declared goals by which he justified the start if Ukrainian war, had failed more than completely. Russia became much LESS safe than before, NATO expanded 1000+ km to Russian border, and Russophobic levels both in Ukraine and in the world had drastically increased. And it would have been VERY ILLUMINATING to listen to what could Putin say of that. Perhaps it would have become much more obvious for many people that Putin started this war AGAINST BEST RUSSIAN NATIONAL INTEREST - the thing which was OBVIOUS TO ME from the VERY BEGINNING OF THIS WAR.
But alas, Tucker didn't ask any of that. Why? Because his task was NOT to ask tough relevant questions and to learn the truth, as a job of any good journalist should have been. His task was to spread unchallenged Putin's propaganda into the West. And this task he had performed brilliantly. Which ACTUALLY might make Tucker a borderline traitor - so ironically, finally legacy media might be at least somewhat correct.
Again, I do not approve of Western legacy media unhinged Russophobic hysterical propaganda which distorts Western minds and harms regular innocent Russian people like me. I disapprove even of depicting Putin as a Hitler-like absolute monster - not because I support Putin (I hate him more than anyone now) but because it's simply not true, and Tucker interview actually could easily show it - that Putin isn't such a lunatic monster as Western media portrayed him, that he might be terribly wrong, but he has his points and is capable of rational logic still. He might be evil all right, but he isn't a psycho. He's a cold-blooded liar, and Tucker should have exposed his lies, but alas he just did allow Putin's 'stream of propaganda' unchallenged.
This being said, I disapprove of just channeling Putin's propaganda unchallenged into the West. It's another extreme, and will do no good. If anything, it would bring even more chaos, confusion, division and hate. It will not bring people closer to truth, but further from it. And that's very said indeed.
HAHAHAHAHA.
YOU.
KNOW.
NOTHING.
You are pathetic and nobody likes your bullshit online.
