Partisanship and Tribalism is a Curse of American Politics
Americans Hate the 'Other Side' More than Love Themselves
The main problem of American politics is that most Americans want to piss the other side off much more than to help themselves. This spiteful tribalism is sadly typical for both sides.
DemoNrats during last election had run entirely on TDS without offering their voters ANY feasible options and prospects, and Canadians had elected their Carnal Carney purely in TDS paroxysm as well.
But our side is no better. Trump is celebrated and loved also mostly for his rhetoric, particularly for how he owns DemoNrats and Woketards in his fiery speeches. But any actual improvements of American life under Trump? Not much.
Judge for yourselves. During his first term Trump failed to drain the swamp, to build the Wall and even to cancel Obamacare. Instead, Trump unleashed Operation Warp Speed on American people and then betrayed his most ardent followers, J6 protesters and later political prisoners, by disowning them and letting them rot in prison for four years.
Trump isn't doing better on his second term. Trump betrayed his promise of world peace - first in Ukraine with Spiderweb and now with new Israeli-Iran military escalation where US are involved, contrary to Trump claims. Trump betrayed his closest ally Elon Musk whom he partially owes his election victory, and all American people by extension by forcing them into digital AI Palantir concentration camp and increasing their state debt with his Big Beautiful Bill.
Yet, MAGA still love Trump. Why? Because look how he owned DemoNrats, and how humiliated and unpopular they are now! Democratic Party popularity hits record low! All thanks to Trump! As if Leftist misery helped you in any significant way, sigh…
And that's the problem. American people way too often choose gloating over other side’ loss and humiliation instead of improvement of their own affairs. But that's deeply morally wrong and not that smart either.
Because again, HOW Democratic misery would improve YOUR lives? Sure, it's satisfying to see these assholes cry, but does it decrease your cost of living? Does it bring world peace? Or does it do anything at all apart from feeding your ego?
Then maybe we would judge our leaders by how much they improved our lives and how many problems they solved, instead of how much has they pissed the other side off and how many Leftist tears they caused? Sigh.
(Blind) loyalty to Trump (or ANY other politician!) is Dumb!
But we must stay loyal to Trump no matter what, even if he’s wrong, some MAGA people would say. But tell me please, why? Why do you think you owe Trump, is he your father, brother, husband or Savior, or what?
People with such mentality don't understand politics at all. You owe NOTHING to politicians you elect. In the contrary, it's THEM who OWE you to deliver upon their election promises.
And, if they failed to do so like Trump who betrayed and violated his peace election promise, we the people have all the rights to withdraw our support from Trump. What's unclear?
Since WHEN did it all turn upside down? Since when it's not politicians who owe us to deliver upon their election promises, but we OWE to support them even if they failed to do so? What's the actual fuck?
Internal division and in-fighting have rendered the West weak. Whether loyalty to Parties or Individuals, it makes no difference. I see it here so much, and the issues are never dealt with.
This is the first thing of yours I've read. I agree with your post. Still, despite the title, I am a little surprised to hear you talk about "our side". Do you really need a side? The U.S. has two parties and you need to pick one? All done and never going to change? Two ideologies? Until you propose a slate of candidates and a nice group of billionaires to pay for them, do you have a side?
