Linguistic Genocide of Women isn't Inclusion
Linguistic Erasure of Women if NeitherFeminist Nor Inclusive
Literally everything is wrong with a new Woke trend of replacing words 'women' and 'female' with 'inclusive' 'birthing and menstruating persons', prompted even by such ‘progressive feminists’ like AOC. In addition to these terms being entirely sexist and dehumanizing, there is not even any rational justification for using them. But let's elaborate.
What's an official Woke excuse to use those derogatory 'inclusive' terms for women? 'To not offend trans and non-binary people who are not women but can also menstruate or give birth', to cite the Woke rulebook. Now maybe I understand something wrongly but HOW POSSIBLY trans people might be offended by a word 'woman' if they themselves IDENTIFY AS WOMEN? So you're offended by a term you chose for your own self-identification, how can that be even possible?
Moreover, radical trans activists and their Woke allies spent several last years repeating that 'trans women are women', and fiercely attacking anyone who even slightly disagreed with this phrase. But now it turns out that trans women aren't actually women but 'birthing and menstruating persons', or what? Or, alternatively, if trans women feel excluded by the mere use of the word 'woman', it means that they still don't feel themselves fully women, or that they aren't women after all? Otherwise why to feel excluded by the use of word 'woman' if you are a woman yourself? Trans women are WOMEN after all, what's the problem? Or not exactly women still?
Side note - the Woke 'progressives' are so dumb and so deluded that they can't keep track of their own bullshit even. They spent two years repeating the one thing, and now they claim the exact opposite of it. But oh well, consistency was never the strongest part of the Wokies, and if they didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have any. But to proceed with my topic.
But what's about non-binary people, the Woke defenders would say, they aren't women, don't even identify as such, but they still can menstruate and give birth? Aren't they excluded by the usage of gendered language? Well, here I somewhat agree, and I was a proponent of using gender-neutral language SPECIFICALLY for non-binary or gender non-conforming people, until the Woke began to erase the gendered language altogether, replacing it with gender-neutral one. Again, I don't see the reason why gendered and gender-neutral language couldn't COEXIST, why do we have to erase gendered words completely in order to include non-binary people who are already included by the usage of gender-neutral language SPECIFICALLY TO THEM.
For example, there are men, women and non-binary people (also intersex, queer, gender non-conforming and anyone who feel like they are). There could be generated a special term like 'third gender' or whatever to denote these people specifically. Everyone is included, problem solved. If you wanna be super inclusive when you talk of childbirth and menstruation, you can say 'women AND non-binary people' to include everyone. There's absolutely NO NEED to stop using the word 'woman'. After all, when we want to talk of people who are attracted to males, and be inclusive about it, we are saying 'women AND gay men'. We don't invent new terms like 'male attracted people' (I hope I didn't just give some crazy Wokie an idea!).
So, if we really just wanna be inclusive, we could use gender-neutral language for non-binary people, and keep using gendered language for everyone else. Trans people could choose whether to go with gender-neutral language, or to apply gendered language to themselves ('Trans women are women' after all, or not?). So, what's exactly the problem? Everyone is included. Why to erase the words 'woman' and 'female' completely if you just wanna be inclusive? Maybe because it’s NOT about inclusion, as the Woke claim it to be to justify their linguistic fascism, but about something entirely else? About bringing more division, for example? Or about subverting our way of thinking and making an assault on objective reality itself?
The role of language in our society is extremely important. Language isn't just the way of communication, it's a way of thinking. Language is extremely powerful, and one can use this power to discriminate against people or to change their way of thinking entirely. For example, homophobes invented a lot of derogatory terms for gay people - 'fags', 'sodomites', 'buggers', etc. - to imprint in people's mind negative connotations between the words and people whom these words denote. The language was a very powerful tool of discrimination of gay people overall (and still is for example in Russia or Islamic states).
By erasing the gendered language, the Woke want to change and to subvert our way of thinking. They want to stop us thinking of themselves as of men and women, but just as of gender neutral non-binary entities instead. Now please tell me WHY and what this has to do with inclusion at all?
But there's one more sexist nuance to it. For some reason, Woke 'inclusion' efforts target mostly women specifically. For example, I haven't heard men being called 'people with testicles' or 'bearded persons' or 'ejaculating persons' by the Woke 'progressive' ideologues (again, I hope I haven't given them an idea!) Similarly as trans men aren't pushed into male sports or bathrooms. Now, again, why? If you're so 'inclusive' and fair, why not to apply the same standard to both men and women, both trans men and trans women? Why to erase words 'women' and 'female' but to keep using words 'men' and 'male' without any 'inclusivity' problem? If that's not sexist, then WHAT IS, please tell me?
But what if trans women and non-binary people are 'offended' by the words 'women' and 'female', the Woke dummies would say. Like, for real? Tell me please why then trans men and non-binary people aren't offended by the words 'men' and 'male'? Suspicious double standard. Also, they are offended, and SO WHAT? Should we rewrite the language all the time when anyone feels 'offended' by certain words? What if I feel offended by the word 'people' because it sounds almost like 'pee', should I demand to ban this word and replace it with something else? Sigh. Language would turn into a complete mess in a blink of an eye if we'd change it every time anyone feels 'offended' by certain words. Or maybe it's not about everyone but about certain SOMEONE, certain cherished GROUPS who matter more than everyone else due to modern Woke politics?
After all, many biological women feel offended by the use of 'inclusive' language like 'menstruating and birthing persons' to them as well. They feel it as dehumanizing and derogatory. Why the feelings and offence of millions of women doesn't matter at all while the feeling and offence of tiny minority of trans and non-binary people is paramount? Is it fair? Where's equality and human rights there?
But this is exactly the main Woke point. The Woke aren't proponents of equality, and never were. Some groups of people matter for them much more than others. The Woke always favored discrimination, or, as they call it, 'equity' (which could be roughly interpreted as 'positive discrimination' and which is totally opposite to equality). For example, the Woke discard in the cold blood all feelings and opinions of white people. They state openly that they don't give a shit of 'white perspective' or 'white opinions'. Similarly, they don't give a shit of cis feelings, perspectives and opinions now, at least with regard to cis women. If you look deeper, there's a real hatred towards cis women in radical trans community. Anyway, on practice it means that any discrimination of cis and white people is allowed. In fact, I doubt that white men and cis women are even considered people any longer in crazy Woke discourse, or rather dismissed as 'inferior beings'. So, you can be openly sexist towards cis women if you're a trans woman or non-binary person, and get away with that. Similarly you can be openly racist towards white people if you're Black, and get away with that too. Welcome to the New Woke world.
It’s no coincidence. The French Revolution compelled people to abandon Madame, Monsieur, and Mademoiselle for Citoyen. And communists use the lifeless „comrade.“
But who cares??
