Kremlin is VERY UNLIKELY to Assassinate Alexey Navalny
It's Too Obvious, and Timing is Pretty Bad for Putin before the Election as well
I know I'd be labeled as 'Putin's spy' for this piece again (despite all my recent public anti-Putin stances!) but the truth is MORE important to me, so I don't care. Again, I'm sure Putin is PERFECTLY capable of murdering Alexey Navalny. I'm just saying that it made NO SENSE to him now, and timing for it was also PRETTY BAD for Putin.
Yeah, you might say that Kremlin guilt is obvious, and this is EXACTLY what speaks in Kremlin FAVOR - it was TOO OBVIOUS! Beware TOO OBVIOUS things - they're most likely a set up.
Again, what danger imprisoned and broken Alexey was for Kremlin? Why to assassinate him, and AS URGENTLY as well? What was the urgency? I mean, Navalny was in a complete Kremlin power, and Kremlin could have get rid of them AT ANY TIME. So WHY NOW? Because the moment was chosen pretty badly for Kremlin indeed.
First of all, Putin had just more or less successfully whitewashed himself before the West during Tucker interview, so WHY to ruin his reputation that badly again just STRAIGHT AFTER? It makes no sense for Putin. It makes MUCH MORE sense for his enemies to frame him for Navalny death though to ruin his reputation beyond reparable again.
Also, don't forget Russian elections in upcoming March. Yeah, everyone knows that those elections are just theater and shit show, yet they STILL MATTER for Putin, otherwise he would have canceled them altogether (why to waste so much money and time on it indeed?) So why wouldn't Putin cancel elections and just crown himself instead then? To fool the West or Russian people that there is still a 'democracy' in Russia? But after he had rewritten Russian Constitution back in 2021 and then invaded Ukraine back in 2022, NO ONE in the West and even in Russia is fooled anymore. So WHY to keep elections then? Yet Putin keeps them.
I believe he keeps elections because they give him an ILLUSION OF LEGITIMACY, and that, taking into account which big shit like Ukrainian war Putin is doing, is VERY IMPORTANT for him! Why illusion of legitimacy? Well, because there STILL would be Russian braindead Vatniks who would come to vote for Putin, thus signing their approval of his war. And Putin later could use their votes to justify his war and other political crimes - that is, Russian people STILL ELECTED and supported me, see! It wouldn't matter even if less than half of Russian population would come to this election. Still, it would be around 50 million votes (!!) even if less than half of Russians would vote! 50 millions votes to justify Putin's war. That is WHY Putin needs this election, and very badly.
Now, because he needs this election real badly, Putin would at least TRY TO BE A GOOD GUY before it. He wouldn't do something obviously evil as to murder Alexey Navalny before it which pissed off really A LOT of Russian people too, this I could tell you, even if they couldn't vent their outrage publicly out of fear before Putin. WHY would Putin do something to himself BEFORE election? EVEN if he badly needed to get rid of Navalny urgently for some secret reason, he STILL MIGHT have waited a month before the election and assassinate Alexey AFTER IT. Assassination of Alexey at THIS POINT OF TIME makes NO SENSE for Putin.
Again, TIMING was really bad for Putin to assassinate Alexey - straight after Tucker interview when he had just whitewashed himself before the West, and just a MONTH prior to Russian election where Putin hoped to get an illusion of legitimacy of his war. So, Putin had just fucked up TWO of his great opportunities in one stroke. This does NOT sound like Putin. He might be a monster, but he is NOT an idiot though. He would NOT have done something so obviously idiotic when Alexey was already broken and no danger to him anyway. For Putin enemies either inside or outside Russia, however, it was a PERFECT opportunity to frame Putin and fuck him up. And to sabotage Ukraine peace talks as a side bonus.
