I had written this article originally four years ago - yeah I had seen through Woke fraud already as long ago as in 2020 and from as far away as Finland where I lived back then - but this article is still very relevant and useful, so I decided to republish it with minor alterations. You might use it next year to combat Woke toxic ideology together with Trump administration.
Original Article
I thought that two days ago was my last big rumination about Wokeness this year, but the shocking ban of Homer's 'Odyssey' in Massachusetts school prompted yet another one. I finished my vast comment to previous post with the phrase 'Push back against Wokeness', but some people might object that it's easy for me to say. In fact, you can be canceled and mobbed online for opposing the Woke (I know, this had happened to me too). Worse, in US and UK you can even lose your job over critics of BLM, Antifa, 'anti-racism', 'social justice' and any other part of Woke ideology and movements. So, on practice to oppose Wokeness might be pretty costly business. Yet, we still need to do it. But how?
Why Is It Important to Fight Wokeness
Before proceeding to how fight Wokeness, I like to say couple of words about why it's so important. Some people might say that Wokeness doesn't affect their lives directly, that I might be exaggerating again, and why should they even bother about it? There are a lot of other more pressing concerns in the world like WEF globalist plandemic and climate scams, not to mention our personal lives of course. Then why to bother about Wokeness at all?
First of all, I'm not exaggerating Woke danger. The brutal violence of BLM and Antifa in US this summer which not only went unpunished but was even encouraged by the Left politicians at large, is a very alarming symptom. The rise of cancel culture and mobbing and bullying people online is even worse. Look at what had happened to JK Rowling for voicing out her concerns about trans activism! And JK is the richest British author and one of the most famous writers of our time, just in case. If even she with her money and reputation wasn't fully immune to the Woke rage, what would happen to common people, us 'nobodies' who would have a bad luck to anger the Woke somehow? Scary to even imagine.
Look at the ban of Homer's 'Odyssey' and Woke attempts to cancel our classics. Look at the new 'diverse' ‘historical’ movies where historically white persons like Anne Boleyn are played by Black actors and Woke push it as a norm while if white actor would play a historically Black figure like MLK it would be 'racism and whitewashing'. And all of it is only the beginning. The Woke only sensed their power and won't stop at that. If we won't oppose them, they would instill this new totalitarian ideology everywhere. They would ban all the classics from schools and would brainwash our kids with their own Woke propaganda instead. They would intimidate and bully everyone into obedience either online by mobbing or canceling, or in real life by open violence, arson and looting. They would destroy our culture and our society completely if we won't stop them.
Again, I'm not exaggerating. I was studying this toxic ideology and its psychopathic adepts for long time this year. I learned the patterns of their behavior. They are completely nihilistic and their final goal is to cancel everything, to ban everything, to destroy and to upend all the institutions and norms. They are also like dogs in a pack and they sense fear. If you give way to them, they are not pacified as you might think. In the contrary, they perceive it as your weakness and as an indicator for them that they can push for more and demand more. And they will never be satisfied. They will keep pressing and pushing their endless demands until they won't destroy and cancel and ban all our culture and institutions. That's why they are so dangerous.
They also will never be grateful to you for all your concessions to them. You will forever be 'hater, bigot, racist, white supremacist, sexist, transphobic privileged asshole' for them no matter how hard you'd try to please them. These people are unforgiving, cruel and merciless psychopaths and that's why they are so dangerous as well. So did I give you enough reasons why Wokeness should be fought by all means? Then let's proceed to 'how-s'.
How to Fight Wokeness
First of all, we need to realize that the Woke psychopaths are still a minority, even in US. Very loud, very aggressive, very nefarious minority, perhaps backed by some rich elites, but a minority nevertheless. If we all said solid 'No' and 'Fuck off' to the Woke, their voices would be drowned in the sea of our voices, and they all would scatter away like withered leaves on the wind. The power of the Woke is in creating an illusion that they are actually majority, by being too loud and active on social media, and, hence, in perpetuating an idea that to oppose them would be to oppose the 'public consensus'. But this is again far from truth. The Woke are still minority, and can we, majority, really be so much afraid of this loud and nefarious minority? No, we need to start to push back and to shut the Woke up.
And you know what would happen then? The Woke would tremble and back away. They act like typical bullies - they gather in mobs and together bully every single individual who opposes them. The key factor there is that there is always many against one. Like pack of jackals, the Woke always attack in a group. Like all bullies, they are cowards inside, and, if we outnumber their group, or, at least, if we wouldn't be intimidated by them and would push back sternly, the Woke would tremble. The trouble is that we really think that the Woke are majority because of their loudness, and hence we are afraid to speak up. But if we just start to push back, we would see that we outnumber them by far, and that it's them who should run away in fear, not us. Would suit right those bullies and cowards.
Another important point is not to give in to Woke moral manipulation and fake shaming. They would try their best to make you appear 'racist', 'sexist' and 'bigot' for opposing them. And, since no one wants to be or even to appear as such a nefarious person, they back away from the Woke. Very bad mistake. You know that you're no racist, bigot and hater and you do nothing wrong, hence, no words of Woke could change this fact.
In fact, all Woke manipulations based on straw man arguments, para-logical thinking, and direct slander and misinterpretation of your words. For example, you oppose 'anti-racists' (them) - you must be racist then. But it's even doubly faulty logic: first, if one opposes Stalin, it doesn't make him Hitler by default, and, second, if someone, like the Woke, call themselves 'anti-racists', it doesn't mean that they really are. I might call myself Napoleon or ancient Egyptian Pharaoh too, would it make me such?
Another example of Woke fake arguments: You defend the 'dead racists' (e.g., classical authors of our past - translation from the Woke language) - you must be racist yourself then. Again, faulty logic: defending someone in general doesn't mean you share all the views of a person you had defended, and also, notion of all classical authors being racist can be doubted as well. But I understand, however, that not everyone can disprove the Woke faulty logic in such ways that I can, and many people might get confused by Woke accusations. Still, if you know that you did nothing wrong, don't let them to make you feel guilty for nothing and to instill false guilt inside you.
But what's about my reputation, some people may ask. ‘What if the Woke would ruin my reputation and would make everyone believe that I’m a 'racist'. Then I'd lose all my friends and would be ostracized from every community’, etc. First of all, if someone could really believe you to be a racist based on Woke slander, then this person is certainly not your friend, this person doesn't even properly know you, and you shouldn't worry about letting this person go. Speaking of the whole communities, unless it's university academic campus (which are largely Woke dominated, sadly), Leftist journalist community, or, sadly for me as a gay guy, LGBT+ community, you wouldn't be ostracized there anyway since majority of people groups and communities (sport clubs, game communities, normal job coworkers' community, etc.) aren't that Woke, fortunately. In universities and LGBT+ Wokeness is a real problem though and I'd touch it a bit later. But otherwise, you shouldn't worry much about your community rejecting you based on your disagreement with the Woke. Some people who are also concerned with the danger of Wokeness might even applaud you but majority just wouldn't care. Of course, you might lose some friends over it (or people whom you believed to be friends to be more precise), but we're losing some friends over course of our lives anyway, this is a life! Not everyone can understand us and like us and stay with us forever.
Also, in my view, the great freedom to be fully honest, speak up your mind openly without fear, and fight for what you believe is right is such a great feeling that it's worth losing couple of friends over it. For example, being outspoken this year had really liberated me, made me feel much better inside, much more myself, and much more relieved in a way even. Also, even if I inevitably lost some people, I was glad to know that many people aren't even disagreeing with me that much, and when they are disagreeing, they don't like more my harsh wording, overly dramatic or pessimistic tone rather than my arguments per se. It was also precious feeling which gives me some hope for humanity.
Pushback against the Woke in Academic and LGBT+ Communities
I mentioned academic campuses and LGBT+ communities as centers of Wokeness and this might present a huge problem if you want to pursue academic career or if you are gay, bi or even actual trans person with gender dysphoria. I don't have solution for this problem - I had to restrain from getting a PhD exactly because of that (because I knew Woke Left professors wouldn't let me do free and independent research and would bend me to their toxic ideology instead) and I had to detach myself from LGBT+ community (at least its official organizations) as well. But I understand that not everyone can do that, that for many gays for example who feel vulnerable and ostracized in heteronormative society, the support of LGBT+ community and organizations is still very important. I also know that many people would like to get a PhD academic degree no matter what. Then it's your choice of course, weigh what's more important for you. Also, I believe that the Woke are the strongest in Social Sciences and if you'd like to get PhD in Engineering for example, it isn't that polluted by the Woke yet (though they are actively trying to affect also Literature and Art departments for now). Also, small local LGBT+ communities like Seta in Finland might be really doing good job to protect gay rights, genuinely care of well-being of gay people, and not that polluted by big political games of Wokeness. So not all that bad even with those regards.
Even if you'd be forced to abandon your PhD somewhere in Political Science like me because of the Woke pressure, or if you'd be driven away from your LGBT+ community or decide to detach yourself from them due to their toxicity and pressuring you into supporting of BLM and Antifa and trans radicalism, for example, it's still not the end of the world as well. If you are really good in Political and Social Sciences, you still can become an independent researcher who writes articles for scientific journals even without a PhD or affiliation with any institution. Also, you can become a political blogger, podcaster, You Tuber or Substacker (like me).
There are many ways how castaways from the Woke academia might still express themselves and build a bright future and have an impact on the world. With LGBT+ community, you know, there are a lot of gay people around who are not members of any LGBT+ organization and don't suffer from it. There is even resistance to Woke queer and trans radicalism rising inside gay community - like LGB Without the TQ and Gays Against Groomers most notably. You might even find them and make new friendships. Also, many of straight folks can be empathetic and won't reject you based on your sexuality/gender identity. So, you will survive. And if you won't give in to social pressure and would stay yourself and speak your mind, you'd feel even better, even if somewhat lonelier at first.
With regard to how to push back against Wokeness for companies and organizations, I shared couple of articles by James Lindsay. There are some technical details there which I don't wanna go into now since corporate world is far from my sphere of interests for now, but pushback against Wokeness is possible even there.
So, overall, pushback against Wokeness is possible. It requires some courage and some thinking, but in the end, it might be very rewarding and liberating experience (telling from my own example). You will feel good because you're doing something very important and meaningful for the good of all humankind, and you will feel free and liberated as never before for being able to openly speak your mind.
And in the end, even if you'd lose some people, you will find out that many other people are actually supporting you and agreeing with you but just either didn't have the courage to voice their opinions out (and you might lend them this courage!) or didn't consider this issue to be so important for them to speak out (and here you can show to them why it's important as well!).
So overall, everything will be alright for you. Well, for now I guess I finish my ruminations of Wokeness for this year and will proceed to celebration of New Year instead.
It is amazing to me how so many college students really lack critical thinking skills and just “go along to get along.” And then they graduate, become doctoral students where their wokeness is amplified by their subservience to thesis and dissertation directors and committees. Once they become Ph.Divinities (today Ph.D really just means “piked higher and deeper”) and then they intellectual tyrannize more young people with this toxic ideology.
Racist is one who likes or prefers his own race. The slogan black is beautiful is racists? Whites are better?
