How to Make Trans Activism More Fair and Less Radical
Some Compromises Between Trans Activists and the Rest of Society might have Helped
I had already argued a lot how and why modern radical trans activism is utterly unfair, especially to women, and downright dangerous, especially to kids and to LGBT+ community itself. However, I haven't touched on the issue how to improve it so trans activism would indeed focus on trans rights and not on making the rest of society miserable. First of all, to deny that there are certain problems which trans people are facing, like many on the right are doing, isn't a solution either. For example, trans people might really be uncomfortable going to the same bathrooms with people of their own biological sex, or compete in sports with them, etc. It doesn't mean that to force trans women into female sports against all biological differences, or into female bathrooms against all safety concerns is a solution either. So what could be the solution then?
Well, why not to create SEPARATE SPORT CATEGORY for trans people to compete in, and SEPARATE GENDER NEUTRAL BATHROOMS as well? Then everything would be fair and everyone would be happy. Trans people wouldn't feel uncomfortable anymore, and women won't feel threatened. After all, trans women, especially after hormone therapy and transition surgery are biologically different both from biological men and women. It's only fair if they'd have separate category to compete in sports. Sports for transgender and non binary people, I don't see problem here. Same with bathrooms. I recall LGBT+ activists were fighting for creation of separate gender neutral bathrooms before but later they abandoned this idea in favor of pushing trans people into the bathroom according to their ‘preferred gender’ instead. Again I don't see the problem with separate gender neutral bathrooms. Both these solutions would require some resources to implement? Well, and what? It's certainly better than to discriminate against women in favor of trans people, or to keep ignoring trans people needs either. If we really wanted to help trans people without discriminating against women, then we would have done that instead of the shit show we have currently with 'trans rights'. It's not that difficult even to create special separate bathrooms for trans people and separate sport category. At least, it could have been offered for a discussion! But nope, radical trans activists push their own preferred solution uncompromisingly, as the one and only. That's no good.
Secondly, pronouns and language overall. I understand that trans and non binary people might want to be referred as 'they/them' and maybe 'lactating/birthing persons', whatever. However, to force anyone to adopt the same language and to use pronouns in their bio? Is this kinda too much, kind of dictatorship? Why gender neutral language couldn't co-exist with gendered language so everyone would be comfortable, why gendered language should be banned completely and replaced with gender-neutral one as radical trans activists are fighting for? How trans people are offended by terms 'mother' and 'breastfeeding' and all the gendered language merely existing even if not applied to them? Why should we change all our language and all the way of our thinking just 'not to offend them'? How gendered language which isn't even applied to them offends and excludes them anyway? If they want to be referred as 'they', go ahead, I don't care, but I don't want to put pronouns in my bio since I don't care and 'wrong pronouns' don't offend me. If they want to be referred to as 'birthing and lactating persons', go ahead, but why all the women should drop the usage of words 'mother' and 'breastfeeding' when it describes them accurately and they used to use these words from the dawn of time? What's the fuck? Sorry I will never call my mum a 'birthing person', that's abomination.
To put it simpler, create a gender neutral language to refer to YOURSELVES but don't try to ban gendered language! Gendered and gender-neutral language could co-exist in peace, just like gendered and gender-neutral bathrooms. There's no need to make all bathrooms and all language gender-neutral, sigh.
And, lastly, please don't mess up with kids. NOTHING JUSTIFIES GIVING HORMONES AND EVEN DOING SURGERIES TO KIDS UNDER 14. Period. Literally NOTHING. I'm silent that existing research suggests that most of kids grow out of their alleged gender dysphoria anyway, and there are no even any reasons for that.
