Finns are Now Prisoners In Their OWN Country
Closing of Finnish-Russian Border Prevents Finns From Getting Out of Finland as Much as Russians from Coming to Finland
I take it majority of Finns either in their extreme naivete or never-ending paroxysms of Russophobia failed to appreciate the full meaning of latest Finnish-Russian border closure - e.g., that it prevents NOT only Russians and yeah illegal migrants from getting IN Finland, but it also prevents Finns from getting OUT of Finland. And that makes all the difference. That makes it a gross infringement on the freedom of movement and basic human rights of Finnish citizens by their government, and only irrational Russophobic hatred prevents Finns from realizing that their homeland is rapidly turning into their prison.
Yeah, Russian border is not the only Finnish border but it is largest by far, and also an easiest way for Finns out of EU and on to Asia, for example. And now, this route is closed for Finns for indefinite term. By the way, it's also violation of European Human Rights conventions according to which every European citizen has a right to leave EU at any point. But not Finns anymore it seems?
Again, with visa bans for Russians Finnish government could at least excuse this racist discrimination on national basis by saying that it's their country and they have a right to decide whom to let into it and whom not (same as we have a right to decide whom to let into our house). Potentially, they have a right to NOT let ANYONE in because their country is THEIR home, again, and we have a right to not let anyone in our homes.
However, now when Finnish government banned its OWN citizens from getting OUT of their country as well, this excuse doesn't work any longer. It's the same as if say father banned all his family from getting out of their house for indefinite term. This is a pure tyranny, and as such, is illegitimate. It is reminiscent much more of COVID tyranny actually with its draconian lockdowns and fascist vax mandates than of fight with illegal immigration. One has to be a blind fool not to see it.
But surely it's not as bad, some Finns would argue? Surely, it's still possible for Finns to travel by plane elsewhere and even to Russia via say Istanbul? Yeah, it is possible, but it is much more EXPENSIVE. Air travel is the most expensive by far on its own, and to make a roundabout air trip to Russia from Finland via Istanbul one has to be mad or millionaire, so who would attempt that?
Moreover, it is worse than that. We all remember that our old psychotic friends from Davos dream of restricting our air travel EVEN MORE in order to 'reduce our carbon footprint'? (while flying private jets freely themselves ofc). Hence, there is a solid reason to believe that air travel would become even more expensive and less convenient with time which would make it unreliable while open land borders all the more important. And this is exactly what Finnish government deprived its citizens from - their largest open border.
Yeah, Finnish border with Sweden is still open. But first, it's much smaller, and second, doesn't lead out of EU. Moreover, where is the guarantee that Finnish government would NOT close border with Sweden as well at some point, and at the same pretext - to 'fight illegal immigration'? After all, Muslim refugees can come to Finland also from Sweden, not only from Russia, eh? Moreover, I recall back in 2015, on the highest point of refugee crisis, MOST of illegal Muslim immigrants (up to 25 thousands!) were coming to Finland from Sweden and NOT from Russia.
So, for HOW LONG Swedish border would stay open then? Finnish government had created a precedent of complete border closure by locking Russian border. What would prevent it from locking Swedish border as well? What, it's illegal in EU? Well, to prevent European citizens from getting out of EU is also kinda illegal, yet Finnish government had still done it. So?
If Finnish government would lock Swedish border along with Russian one, that would make Finland a complete prison for its citizens who couldn't get out of it anywhere any longer (save by plane which is expensive and unreliable in the long run as well).
Now, I am not saying it would necessarily come to that but surely the very fact of complete border closure and Finnish government serious infringement upon the free movement of Finnish citizens should alarm Finns AT LEAST SOMEWHAT? Then why doesn't it? But I know the answers sadly - overwhelming irrational Russophobia and equally overwhelming naive trust to their government and media who certainly did NOT deserve such public trust.
Russophobic bigots might claim that 'Finns should simply not go to Russia, and no problem'. First of all, it is NOT your business, where your fellow citizens would like to go, but ONLY THEIRS, you Russophobic bigots. They might have families, lovers or friends in Russia. Either way, it's THEIR business, not yours and not government's. And government does NOT have a right to restrict their citizens' freedom of movement!
Moreover, as I have shown, it's more than that. Closure of Russian border would be ONLY a start of their war on our freedom of movement. More restrictions on it would follow. If they could get away with locking of the Russian border, what would prevent them in the future from closing Swedish border as well, and at the same pretext? EU? EU might even cease to exist as an institution, or seriously transform to adapt to 'new reality'.
Again, our overlords declared a war on our free movement since the beginning of COVID scamdemic, and on equally fraudulent premises as well. Now, they continue the same shit on the pretext of Putin clown war and obviously provoked new 'refugee crisis'.
They will NOT stop until they'd take ALL YOUR freedom of movement away from you and lock you at home again without possibility to go ANYWHERE without a state leave. Is it the future you desire, Finns?
