Black Actors Portraying Historically White Characters is Wrong and Racist

It is a Woke Assault on Our Civilization and Woke Attempt to Rewrite History

My three-year old prescient article which gained a new relevance in light of for example a new Snow White adaptation…where actress isn’t exactly snow white. I also was insulted and abused by one guy here on Substack for saying that it’s wrong for Black actors to portray white characters same as it’s wrong for kids to portray old characters, for instance. Hence, this article is very necessary.

The Woke Left are deliberately disrupting and destroying the basic foundations of our civilization. Not only with such obviously radical initiatives as 'Defund the police' and 'Disband the nuclear family', or banning the gendered language and erasing the biological difference between men and women. No, even in much more subtle ways. Even with such a seemingly harmless and progressive issue as 'minority representation' (mostly meaning racial minorities, also LGBT - especially trans! - and not any other minority, other minorities aren't interesting for the Woke Left).

To be sure, I intuitively never liked when the Woke Left forced, say, Black actors to play historically white characters (like Anne Boleyn) or figures from the European folklore (like infamous Black elves and dryads from the new Netflix 'The Witcher' series). It seemed fake and unnatural to me, as if an extremely tall guy would portray a dwarf in the movie, an old guy would play a role of a child, or a blond haired guy would pass for a dark haired without even wearing a wig. This just feels wrong and ridiculous.

However, before I thought that this was a result of incompetence, not malevolence. I thought that the intentions of the Woke (or catering to the Woke) movie directors were still benign, just implementation sucked. So I believed that they did really want to help and to represent underrepresented minorities, just came there at the wrong angle. E.g., instead of making a historical movie about African history, they had made Black actors play historically white characters of European history; or, instead of making some good sci-fi movie about Black civilization of the future, they turned to European folklore and painted elves and dryads Black there, etc. But still, I believed it was mistake, not malevolence. I believed that they wanted to help, just didn't know how to do it properly.

Now, I do not think so anymore. Now, I'm absolutely convinced that the Woke goal all along was to disrupt our civilization, to offend and eventually to upend it. The Woke never really cared of the Blacks and their representation. If they did, then they would indeed have been making more movies about African history and mythology like Black Panther. But the Woke all along wanted to target white people, our history and folklore, our whole civilization. If you disagree, then tell me, what was the point to make historically white characters like Anne Boleyn or figures from European folklore like dryads and elves Black? It was both historically and culturally inaccurate, and offensive to our culture and history. Mind you, if we made a white actor portray let's say Nelson Mandela, or some voodoo lwa (gods and spirits from traditional African and Afro American folklore), then the Woke would have been the first to shout 'Whitewashing! Racism!'. Yet, when the Woke do the same to white history, then it's not only perfectly alright, but also 'progressive'. Now why?

If they just wanted to represent Black people more, there are countless ways to do that. Make a historical movie about African history or sci-fi movie about some Black civilization of the future. Make a movie about African and Afro American folklore, that would be a very curious and interesting thing to learn for many people. Let Black directors to direct their own movies and to express their own vision more often. I haven't seen the Woke Hollywood and Netflix doing any of this much though which proves my point that it's not about Black representation at all. It's about targeting white civilization - namely, our history and folklore.

At best, this Woke 'representation' offends white audience, basically telling us that it's perfectly OK if let's say Queen Elizabeth or Anne Boleyn were Black. If someone says that it's historically inaccurate, the Woke would immediately accuse them of racism - 'it's just a movie after all, what does it matter which skin color actor has if he's really talented, why are you so sensitive to skin color, are you racist', etc. Yet, again, do this other way around - let the white actors play historically Black characters, and the Woke would be the first to condemn you and to accuse you of 'whitewashing and racism' again. Huge hypocrisy. Also, it's not about skin color. It's about historical and cultural accuracy and adequacy. Again, making a child portray an old guy, or tall guy portray a dwarf would look equally wrong, inaccurate, inadequate and ridiculous. Same with culture - let's portray white people dressed as Chinese and Chinese as Europeans, etc. It would be equally inadequate.

Yet the Woke on purpose push for this inadequacy. Why? I argue, that, in addition to a deliberate offence to white audience as a side bonus, the Woke pursue two much more sinister goals there. First, the Woke are aiming at rewriting history. For example, when the infamous 'Anne Boleyn' miniseries where a Black actress played Anne Boleyn was aired, it was presented as HISTORICAL (e.g., HISTORICALLY ACCURATE movie!), not as fantasy or historical fiction. That was already problematic. First of all, it was lies - this movie was HISTORICALLY INACCURATE, since Anne Boleyn wasn't really Black. Then why to present historically inaccurate series as historically accurate one?

Again, to REWRITE HISTORY. Yeah, I know that majority of people still know (hopefully!) that in truth Anne Boleyn was white. But again, for HOW LONG? Taking into account the huge levels of ignorance of our younger generation, also their dislike for doing their own research as opposed to listening to the media, and the young generation reading books less and less and watching movies more often, that becomes much more sinister. For most young people, Netflix series and media news articles are the main sources of information in the world, not the books and actual scientific articles. Then, tell me, what happens if Netflix would start telling people that Anne Boleyn was actually Black, media would repeat it, and even Wikipedia article on her would be sneakily rewritten? (just like the Woke had rewritten the article about historical evils of Communism or about Cultural Marxism in modern USA). Already scared?

Then yeah, more and more young people would actually start to believe that Anne Boleyn in truth was Black, and it's 'evil white supremacists' who later 'whitewashed her'. Not only Anne Boleyn even. Maybe Queen Elizabeth herself was Black as well in truth. And Queen Victoria too. All our European civilization was in truth Black until 'evil white aliens' didn't conquer it and then 'had rewritten the history' (while in truth it's Woke who are rewriting it now). After all, is it not true that all humankind had sprang from Africa? (I'm speaking of primordial human ancestors now). This is the favorite Woke argument to justify their Blackwashing of history. But yeah I hope this shows clearly why to present historically and culturally inaccurate and inadequate movies as historically accurate is so dangerous. That's why it's so wrong (and it's a big deal!) when Black actors portray historically white characters or figures from European folklore.

There's more though. The Woke have another, second sinister goal in mind. Historical inaccuracy and inadequacy in more and more modern movies is a part of the Woke general assault on objective reality. Same as the Woke math claiming that 2+2=5 (or anything else but 4) and that 2+2=4 is a 'white supremacist concept which might not be upheld in some other cultures' (though show me at least ONE CULTURE where 2+2=5!!) Same as the Woke assault on the reality of biological sex when the Woke claim that there's LITERALLY NO PHYSICAL DIFFERENCE between a biological woman and a trans woman with a penis. This leads to such dangerous for women things as letting 'trans women' into female sports. But the Woke are doing it on purpose. And this purpose is utterly evil. The Woke want to disrupt our whole worldview and our adequate perception of reality itself, replacing it with a psychopathic worldview with a totally inadequate perception of reality based on absurd.

In the Woke psychopathic world, 2+2=5, penised individuals are 100% female, historically white characters are Black, and the reality itself doesn't exist, only Woke NARRATIVE (which is constantly changing depending on the current Party line). This is indeed true Orwellian reality where War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, etc. Yeah, things are already THAT BAD in the West, I'm not exaggerating even in the slightest.
