In order to prevent our group differences from dividing us, we need to heal the past traumas related to them, first of all. I'm a proponent of an interesting psychological theory which states that in some ways the whole nations act like individuals, and there might be collective traumas of the whole nation coming from its past in the same way as there could be individual traumas coming from our childhood. If we speak about US and American division between Black and whites, there is a huge historical trauma of the whole nation. The terrible injustice was done in the past to Black people in US - they were brought as slaves to America from Africa, they were abused and tortured as such. Even after abolition of slavery, Ku Klux Klan lynching horrors still persecuted Black people for quite a while. All of this contributed to huge collective trauma in US. Because of this, Black people still feel suppressed anger at white people (at collective subconscious level), while white people feel a suppressed guilt (again, at collective subconscious level). The Woke Leftvaffe learned how to manipulate this collective guilt of whites and collective anger of Blacks to sow the division in American society to advance their own dirty political ends.
In order to stop the Woke, the collective trauma in American society must be healed. It's easier to say that than to do, granted. Collective traumas are much harder to heal than individual ones, and even those aren't simple to deal with. But still, it's worth trying. First of all, past should be left in the past. Nothing good comes from endlessly poking the past. Those terrible things were done, and this can't be changed. No any reparations or statue removals could erase the terrible injustice which was done to the Black people in US. Also, it's not fair and quite pointless to demand reparations from the modern white people who are innocent of the sins of their forefathers to the modern Black people who aren't enslaved and tortured as their forebears were. So, the Woke Leftvaffe aren't helping with their ridiculous demands - they are just poking the embers of the past in order to turn them into a burning bonfire of hatred yet again. Don't play into their hands, don't let the monstrous racial injustice (only now perhaps other way around - Blacks against whites) to repeat itself.
So, the past cannot be changed. It's useless to deny the past and equally useless to try to 'make reparations' for it. Nothing could repair the harm which was done. Americans need to accept their dark past and to learn to live with it and to BE BETTER PERSONS now, IN THE PRESENT, instead of endlessly poking the past. It's the only way.
There is one small thing which could help. The past couldn't be changed. However, the meanings which we give to the past events, CAN BE CHANGED. So, instead of looking at their past and feeling an anger/guilt at injustice done over and over again, Americans might try to learn to see the past events in slightly different light. For example, not denying all the horrors, they might look for something positive which came out of it. After all, Black people learned how to fight for freedom and became stronger. White people, in the contrary, learned empathy towards other human beings and became kinder. Overall, both Blacks and whites learned how to understand each other and how to coexist in the same environment without trying to destroy or abuse each other. That's precious and it's worth of something at least I hope. It would be extremely sad if the Woke Leftvaffe would reverse all these achievements and turn Blacks against whites yet again.
I hope that these my psychological insights might help some of my American readers to look at things deeper and to find other, more peaceful and harmonious ways to deal with the situation than nihilistic and destructive path the Woke Left are setting them on. Again, it would be terribly sad if a monstrous racist history would repeat itself in US, only other way around.
I totally agree with you. America has had a diverse history.people have a tendency to forget the good things and concentrate only in the ugly prts of
